STRENGTH CLUB | Training for Teens

Each week, high school students and athletes:

  • have fun in a supportive, yet challenging environment,
  • learn weight room safety and etiquette,
  • develop total body strength by practicing bodyweight exercises, calisthenics, and resistance training movements using barbells, dumbbells, cables, and kettlebells,
  • improve posture and body awareness with flexibility and core exercises,
  • discuss caring for the body for proper exercise recovery through sleep, hydration, and healthy nutrition habits,
  • develop balance and orthopedic durability to help reduce injuries related to sport, and
  • perform fun power and agility exercises like med ball slams, sled pulls, battling rope intervals, and box jumps.

Sessions are being scheduled for junior high and high school students on weekday evenings.

If you have a group, team, co-op, or homeschooling family that would like to schedule its own workshop, after-school time, or weekly class, contact Dave or submit the form below. Summer and off-season sessions typically running ~6 weeks are also available for teen sports teams.

We are excited to launch this brand-new program. Please submit the form below to find out more information. There are some weekend classes available on occasion. Each workout costs $15 per athlete, payable by cash, check or credit card.

Coach Reddy

After years of running fitness boot camps, youth athletic development programs, and general personal training services, Dave is developing a few "fitness with purpose" programs starting with this "Strength Club" that will include discussions of personal health and fitness philosophy, with elements of the "theology of the body" integrated into sessions too. Sessions will be all boys or all girls, ranging from 13-18 years old.
Dave will lead most workouts and discussions, though guest speakers will make an appearance from time to time. We will discuss nutrition, sleep and recovery, and foundational health physical and spiritual health principles.

Socrates believes strength training with a purpose with Dave Reddy is awesome.

Socrates:

"No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable."
